In the last year, Ealing Southall Labour MP Virendra Sharma has only opened his mouth six times in parliament (source: website www.theyworkforyou.com). Doesn't Ealing Southall deserve to have an MP
who will actually represent the views of the community in parliament, rather than sitting there doing nothing? |

Quite agreed with S Bell on one point. This election campaign took a rather farcical point from my perspective yesterday when UKIP sent my family (of mixed English and Asian background) three
campaign leaflets (one each) which were entirely written in Hindi. Most bizarre. I have to say, that all this leaflet sending, pretend newspaper cuttings and worst of all - pretend thank you letters
has only strengthened my belief that democracy as it stands in this country is a complete farce. On a more positive note, the Labour candidate is the only individual whose election propaganda was
interesting, well written and crucially not hugely patronising. I have a great respect for him; and indeed, would gladly vote for him. The underpinning joke of the matter is that, despite the fact
that at least five parties have wasted significant amounts of paper and money, not to mention time, on winning my support, I simply will not be able to vote for them. I am still only 17. |

I will not be voting Labour tomorrow for the first time. I understand that in Southall there is a large (though minority) Asian population, but in Ealing Broadway/Common that is far from the case
& frankly I resent having to choose to vote from a list of candidates who are there to appeal to the minority. I will be "spoiling" my ballot paper in protest. Sort this out in future. I've read
other sites & my opinion is far from unique |
